BloomIQ – Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of BloomIQ ("the App"), developed by Black Mirror Lab. By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms.

1. License

Black Mirror Lab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

2. Free Scan

New users receive one free plant identification scan. After the free scan is used, a paid subscription is required to continue identifying plants.

3. Subscriptions

BloomIQ offers auto-renewing subscription plans purchased through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period except as required by applicable law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. Plant identification results are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional botanical, medical, or safety advice. Never consume any plant based solely on the App's identification.

5. Your Data

Plant images you submit for identification are sent to our plant identification service for processing. All other app data is stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Plant identification results may not be 100% accurate. Black Mirror Lab is not responsible for any harm resulting from misidentification of plants.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Mirror Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Apple's Standard EULA

Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
